3 miesiące na podciągnięcie parszywych tekstur i słabych modeli postaci? Mateo, nie oszukuj się. Paradoksalnie, gra będzie exem na PS5, a wyglądać będzie jeszcze gorzej niż multiplatformowy, cross-genowy Wo Long. Jakby studio za punkt honoru postawiło sobie, że każda ich gra będzie coraz brzydsza.

 

Z resztą, kolejny soulslike, aż rzygać się chce.

The game takes place in the Bakumatsu period, after Western ships arrived in Japan and saw the beginning of a huge shift in the country's politics and leadership. It's in this era of unrest the game has you playing as a ronin — a samurai with no master — who's working as a sort of mercenary called a Veiled Edge.

 

The open world Japan setting is a more realistic one than Team Ninja's previous action RPGs. Though the storyline is fictional, the surroundings aim to capture the country as it was in 1863. Instead of fighting demons and monsters, you'll be fending off invading forces, and will encounter real historical figures.

 

Additionally, you'll be able to speak to certain characters and will have multiple choices of response. You'll also need to make crucial decisions at key moments in the story, and your actions will impact which ending you get. Completing side missions, meeting specific characters, and improving your bond with them will impact the story, too. As well as plenty of countryside full of bandits, you'll be able to explore three cities — Yokohama, Kyoto, and Edo (Tokyo today).

 

The combat is described as similar to that of Nioh. You'll have access to various weapon types, including guns, and your grappling hook can also be used in fights. It sounds like it'll be pretty challenging and will have some Souls influence, but it seems like it has a heavier emphasis on narrative this time.
