Treyarch committed to Wii

“We do whatever we can to make the two (360/PS3 and Wii versions) as similar as possible. The expectation is ‘that game on that platform’, even though we know objectively the platform is not the same. Whereas we’re able to create the same assets that can be used on PC, PS3 and 360, we actually have to do quite a bit of work on both the technology and assets for Wii. The investment is heavy to get it working on the Wii, but we’re committed to it as we were with Modern Warfare, World at War and Call of Duty 3. It’ll be our fourth Wii shooter. Is there another team that’s put out four Wii shooters? There probably is, but certainly not online. And look, we have a huge online fanbase and they’re playing it over and over. We obviously want to please that audience – the Wii has been great.” – Treyarch Studio Head Mark Lamia

“The Wii community is very vocal. People think that they’re just casual gamers and don’t go on forums, but they can be very opinionated.” – Community Manager Josh Olin

Treyarch looking to blow away Wii fans with Black Ops

“What we want to be able to do is create the most intense, the most cinematic ‘you can’t believe this is running on the Wii’ situation that you could imagine. That’s what people expect from Call Of Duty. They expect to be blown away. We’re going to blow you away.” – Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia

Coś musi być na rzeczy , gdyż jakiś czas temu w internecie pojawiła się informacja o odświeżeniu przygód Bonda na Wii  .
"GoldenEye 2010" outed for Wii?
Monday 26-Oct-2009 11:25 AM Eurocom CV lists N64 remake

The CV of an ex-Eurocom animator has outed a possible N64 remake for Wii, "GoldenEye 2010"

The CV, which belongs to one Craig Peck, says the ex-Eurocom man worked as an animator "on Activision's James Bond series for the Nintendo Wii", before joining L.A. Noire developer Team Bondi.

Peck's job on the mysterious GoldenEye game apparently involved "key frame animation, the preparation and clean-up of motion capture data, prop animation, in-game cut-scene animation, scene layout, and camera animation."

It should be noted that the next Bond game is actually in development at Bizarre Creations, with Eurocom having ported Treyarch's Quantum of Solace to Wii last year.

Didn't EA try this whole GoldenEye revival a few years ago? We've left a message with Activision.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit confirmed for Wii

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – June 14, 2010 – Criterion reinvents Need for SpeedTM Hot Pursuit for the connected generation. Criterion Games, a studio of Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) announced today that the award-winning development team is making the latest installment in the renowned Need for Speed franchise. Inspired by the classic game of the same name, Criterion will reveal Need for Speed Hot Pursuit for the very first time today at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles. Launching in November 2010, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit brings the franchise back to its roots with intense cops vs. racer chases. Criterion also ups the ante with the introduction of an all-new online network called Need for Speed Autolog where players compare racing stats and automatically get personalized gameplay recommendations from their friends– a feature that is poised to transform online racing for the connected generation.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit players will experience the thrill of the chase and the rush of the escape as they play through full careers as both a cop and a racer – solo or connected. The high speed busts and heart-stopping getaways are all connected via Need for Speed Autolog. This network not only connects friends for epic head-to head pursuits and races, but also enables players to compare performances and stats, thereby setting the stage for the ultimate in social competition.

Craig Sullivan, Creative Director of the game said, “At Criterion, we’ve been playing Need for Speed since it was first introduced on 3DO. We are honored and excited by the opportunity to reinvent the franchise for today’s connected audience. Our goal has been to create cops vs. racers pursuits that are so fun, fast and exciting it really brings to life the adrenaline and intensity of the high speed cop pursuit experience with your friends”.

Developed by Criterion Games, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit will be available on November 16, 2010 in North America and on November 18 and 19, 2010 in Europe on the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PC. Need for Speed Hot Pursuit will also be available on the WiiTM and is being developed by Exient.

Wii Party w zestawie z wiilotem.

Nintendo wydaje (in Japan) pack "Super Mario Collection" zawierajacy dwuwymiarowe Mariany, albumik i płytkę z muzyką, wszystko w cenie ~30 bucksów. Nie pogardziłbym, gdyby ta kolekcja trafiła i do Europy. Zestawik będzie dostępny 21 października.
