Following closely behind Game Informer's scoop, Ubisoft officially announced Red Steel for the Revolution, a first-person shooter / slasher that will launch with the system.
Red Steel, which will launch as a Revolution exclusive, is set in modern-day Japan, and will have players taking control of katanas as well as modern weaponry using the Revolution's unique controller.
Serge Hascoet, chief creative officer at Ubisoft said that he's confident Red Steel will be a "must-have" launch title. He added, "“We have been working closely with Nintendo to take full advantage of the innovative controller."
Nintendo marketing boss Reggie Fils-Aime said, "From what we have seen from Red Steel, it is going to be a standout exclusive title on the Revolution.”
Ubisoft Paris is handling development duties, and is made up of vets from the Prince of Persia, Far Cry Instincts, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell franchises.
The title will make it's worldwide debut at E3 in May, although the latest Game Informer covers the game this month.

"I can say definitely, as any other developer, we are looking at this magical platform, and we want to be part of the adventure. You know already that Red Steel is made public in Game Informer. That's an exclusive Ubisoft title, made in Ubisoft Paris. And I'm pretty sure we'll see other Revolution games from Ubisoft. And some of them, I'm sure, will be made from Montreal."

From the trenches of popular messageboard (Neo)GAF comes some very welcome rumour-age: the latest issue of Famitsu includes an oh-so-brief aside about the development of the long-awaited sequel to the Sega Saturn classic NiGHTS into Dreams. The good news is, this is less a rumour and more a tantalizing hint at what to expect in the next issue of Famitsu, purportedly to feature a blowout of several heretofore unannounced Revolution titles. (The bad news is: that next issue isn't here yet and our enthusiasm is now buzzing at a dangerous high.) We will certainly upgrade the game from "rumour" to "blessedly upcoming" once concrete details are available.
For gamers not in the know, NiGHTS is the brainchild of Sonic the Hedgehog creator Yuji Naka and ushered in the Saturn's post-release introduction of its analog gaming pad (certainly a direct response to Nintendo's then-revolutionary N64 controller, but also a necessity for the game's graceful flight mechanics). NiGHTS has since been one of Naka's most oft-requested sequels and the game seems to be coming together now at the perfect time on the perfect platform for its gameplay - thanks to the Revolution controller. Rest assured we will not blink until details (and screens) of this title are available for your perusal.

Nintendo of America's vice president of marketing and corporate affairs, Perrin Kaplan, defended the title.
"I think people have to look back and let it settle in," Kaplan said. "I'm sure people felt the same way when Google was named - or the iPod. Napster. Yahoo. There's a whole host of unusual names that have become a part of everyday conversation and I think they're viewed now as unique."

I jeszcze jedna optymistyczna notka:
Famitsu polled gamers and software makers about their interest at E3. Both parties were most interested in Nintendo's new hardware. 47.4% of software makers and 45.3% of gamers expressed interest in Revolution. This topped PlayStation 3, which got 36.8% of the developer vote and 44.8% of the gamer vote. The remaining 15.8% of developers didn't respond to the question. For users, 4.4% selected Xbox 360 with 5.5% selecting "other hardware." The magazine did not reveal the number of participants in the survey.

Miyamoto and Iwata have hinted at a final secret for Wii that has yet to be revealed. And while we're sworn to secrecy, 1UP knows what this secret is -- and it's rather revolutionary. In fact, it's perhaps the most intriguing element of the system -- something with some rather cool implications for gaming. Let's just say that people have more to look forward to at E3.
Ciekawe o co chodzi...Tak było rano na 1UP...Teraz kazali im zmienić ten tekst na:
Miyamoto and Iwata have hinted at a final secret for Wii that has yet to be revealed. And while we don't have all the details, we've heard that what's in store is exciting indeed -- secrets of a rather revolutionary nature, with some rather cool implications for gaming. Needless to say, we're looking forward to E3.

Nintendo i gry wyścigowe? Oby tylko nie Mario Kart...
According to Trigames.net, Nintendo of America's Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales Reggie Fils-Aime's made an appearance today at the Nintendo World Store in New York City where he revealed that the company is planning a racing title for E3.
"I'm going to give one little secret," Fils-Aime said. "Only one little secret, and hopefully I won't lose my job. We're going to show a racing game at E3 where you use the core controller in a very different way. That will answer all the questions to how you'll play a racing game."
Fils-Aime departed immediately afterward, without providing further specifics about the new title, according to Trigames.net.
This racing game is the first Nintendo title confirmed to be at E3 by a company executive, although other first-party titles such as Metroid Prime 3 and a new Super Smash Bros. are expected to be playable at the show.
The full Trigames.net article can be found here.
Revolution Report will be on-hand at E3 with impressions of all first- and third-party Wii titles.

Coś a la Oblivion. Tylko brzydszy i chyba z większym naciskiem na walkę.
