Wygląda na to, że pod naszym nosem kroi się coś fajnego. Sam o tej grze dowiedziałem się dopiero wczoraj. Z czym mamy do czynienia?

FAQ:

 

Will Stygian be released on Consoles? Such as PS4 and XBOX? 

 

Most probably, considering we succeed in our campaign. Although it probably won’t be simultaneous with the PC release, you can be sure of our efforts to bring Stygian to major home platforms as well. We actually have some solid proceedings on that matter too but wanted to remain silent not to give any false hopes prematurely.

 

Additionally, after achieving some of our content related stretch goals you may see the consoles among our stretch goals in the following days which may guarantee some ports.

 

Either way, supporting Stygian on Kickstarter is also strongly supporting the game on consoles. If you also have a PC or Mac but prefer playing Stygian on your PS4 or XBOX, it may be a good idea to back the game because even if there won’t be a specific stretch goal involving that, it is very probable to see the game on those platforms in the future.

Z ciekawszych rzeczy:

 

- wiek postaci ma wpływ na początkowe statystyki; wybieracie niedoświadczonego młokosa czy podstarzałego dziada? Młodość to bonusy do budowy ciała, zwinności czy zmysłu. Natomiast starcy mogą liczyć na dwa dodatkowe punkty na start;

 

- Archetype - jego wybór pozwoli wam bardziej zdefiniować waszą postać; wygląda na to, że nie różni się to niczym od wybieraniu podklasy postaci; pamiętajcie o tym, że każdy archetyp ma swoje plusy i minusy;

 


Archetypes form the template for your main character, reflecting Lovecraft's or the period's defining personas. Each Archetype will begin the game with a different Prologue which connects the character to the main storyline. Archetypes will determine which skills your character can fully master, but not limit your ability to invest in any skill as you see fit. The same Archetype influenced by different choices can end up generating very distinct characters with different interests and advantages. In Stygian, you can be an educated criminal who is knowledgeable in science, as well as a supernatural investigator who is adept in the occult.

Belief Systems determine how your characters handle the warped reality of the new Arkham as well as the rate at which they regenerate lost sanity. Belief Systems also offer unique dialogue options, expanding the breadth of role-playing possibilities.

The whole content of the first chapter is complete. Thousands of lines of dialogue have been written with alternative approaches exclusive to certain archetypes and belief systems. Hundreds of characters have been designed with modular heads and outfits enabling more variation. All the animations of the male player model are complete along with hundreds of NPC and enemy animations. Lighting, shaders and environmental effects are working beautifully. Almost a dozen tracks have been composed for different situations and areas. We've been recording our own foley effects for months to meet the unique sound needs of the project and the list goes on.

 

We are proud of the work we've done so far and believe that we're achieving what we've been longing to play as gamers ourselves. On the other hand, we've also realized that Stygian, with all its intricacies and interconnected systems, will take some time to complete. With our current attention to detail and quality standards, it seems unlikely to see the release before the end of 2018.

Ogólnie to się strasznie jaram, bo wszystko związane mitologią stworzoną przez Lovecrafta łykam bez popity (ksiązki, komiksy, gry videło, filmy, seriale, planszówki), ale tu mi zgrzyta system walki, na obecna chwilę nie jestem wielkim fanem takiego rozwiązania :/
